Wellness and wellbeing have long been on the agenda, and it's a rare corporate leader who doesn't know why they're so vital. However, a year after the epidemic began, there have been significant changes in the work we perform and how we do it. As a result, leaders and businesses must think in new ways and adopt new and innovative solutions to support future workplace wellbeing.
According to a widely referenced 2013 RAND Corporation survey, approximately 80 percent of firms with more than 50 employees offer some type of wellness programming. Organizations generally spent money on wellness programmes with the explicit goal of motivating healthy behaviours among their workforce, hence reducing the prevalence and effect of chronic illnesses and lowering healthcare expenditures.
Employee happiness and fulfilment are crucial, but it's also critical for company performance. It's a simple logic: when employees are happy and engaged, they put in more (discretionary) effort, which leads to great organisational outcomes. But, as the finest leaders know, it's essential to prioritise well-being as a goal in and of itself—because it's the right thing to do.
Wellness programmes must be seen as more than a series of advantages in order to be even more successful in a future full of unpredictability and potential. They must be included into company cultures and be a part of overall decision-making. Finally, each company will establish its own commitment to well-being by connecting its strategy, culture, and market position with its approach and activities.
This is why Group Futurista is happy to present its “Future of Corporate Wellness” webinar, where it will bring together industry leading experts to share their valuable insights on the matter and discuss all the benefits and advantages of corporate wellness.
